Letting Property in Malta
Our letting consultants will be able to accompany prospective tenants to view a selection of properties which may be of interest to them. Tenants will be introduced to the landlord once a property has been chosen and arrangements made we would be ready to sign the lease agreement. Our staff will make every effort; to ensure a trouble free tenancy and assist tenant to settle in.
Rental rates vary depending on the property location, type of property, standard of furnishings and length of tenancy, typically a long let is considered to be 6 months to a year. In most cases properties are rented furnished, however, we do have a good selection of unfurnished properties to fit most anyone's requirements. In the case of long lets, water and electricity are the liability of the tenant and are charged separately.
Rent is normally paid on a monthly basis in advance. Estate Agency fee is equivalent to one month's rent, which is shared equally between landlord and tenant. A refundable deposit also equivalent to one month's rent is normally lodged with the landlord to cover breakages and outstanding bills at the end of the lease.
Should renting a property be only a temporary measure, in the eventuality that you purchase your own property through Drew Kassa Real Estate, we will give you a full refund of the agency commission you would originally pay on your rental.
